UK Space Agency officially partners with Space ISAC

The mission of Space ISAC is “to disseminate timely and actionable information among all member entities; and to serve as the primary communications channel for the [space] sector with respect to this information”.

Space ISAC says the new agreement – based on information sharing and future – collaboration will enhance ITS international government relationships and “further our shared goal of securing global space”.

“We are thrilled to formalize our partnership with the UK Space Agency,” said the organisation’s Executive Director, Erin Miller. “This collaboration will foster opportunities for bidirectional information sharing related to threats to on orbit assets, supply chain risk and other cyber and physical threats to the space domain.”

For its part, the UK government’s executive agency highlighted the importance of international partnerships and the role of security for the UK’s space business:

“Working with the Space ISAC furthers our efforts to build international partnerships, leverage industry capabilities and embed security as a core principle of the growth of the UK space sector,” said UKSA’s Head of Security and Resilience, Stephen Straughan. “This valuable partnership will undoubtedly enhance our collective efforts to ensure a safe, secure, and resilient space environment for all.”
