Razer was conceived from the ground up as a maker of gaming accessories, and then ventured itself into making PCs. The company’s computers are pretty sleek, to the point some people even use them as office/business computers, and, more importantly, most of them have excellent performance. Razer has now updated its long-running Razer Blade laptops for 2024 and beyond.
Razer just its updated range of Blade laptops at CES 2024, and they look great. The Razer Blade 16 takes the spotlight with the world’s first OLED 240Hz 16-inch display, making for perhaps one of the best screens we’ve seen on a laptop to date. It’s powered by the Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, meaning it’ll be able to run pretty much everything you throw at it, delivering amazing performance while at it. Like other Razer laptops, it also has an aluminum unibody design with advanced cooling with vapor chamber technology, letting it both stay cool and look cool. There’s a reason why some people call these the MacBooks of gaming laptops.
The Blade 14 is more compact at 14 inches and is designed for on-the-go gamers. It’s equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics, and yet it’s extremely thin and light at 0.71” thin and 4.05 lbs. It also has up to 10 hours of battery life. The 16:10 QHD+ 240Hz display, upgradable DDR5 memory, and connectivity options like USB4 and Wi-Fi 7 only help seal the deal even further.
Razer also provided a sneak peek at the Blade 18, which is coming later this year. The company wants this to be the go-to for anyone looking for a big and powerful gaming laptop, with Razer saying that it’ll have the world’s first 18-inch 4K 165Hz display as well as Thunderbolt 5 for high-performance connectivity. Razer isn’t revealing much about this particular laptop just yet, but we’ll know more in the coming months as we get closer to release.
