Razer Kishi V2 Pro Controller Now Available for Android Phones

Razer has been selling smartphone game controllers for a few years now, most recently with the Razer Kishi lineup. The latest Kishi V2 controller was released for the iPhone last year, but there was no upgrade in sight for Android phones. Thankfully, Razer has now updated its Android gamepad cradle, and it’s based on the hardware used in the company’s Razer Edge 5G handheld console.

Razer has just announced that the Razer Kishi V2 Pro, the controllers that are bundled with the Razer Edge 5G, will be becoming available for all Android users to buy. The controller itself is very similar to the standard Razer Kishi V2, but it has two key differences you need to be aware of. The first one is the addition of HyperSense haptics, which will provide haptic feedback for your games — even a range of hand-picked games that don’t naturally support haptics. The second one is a headphone jack, which will let you plug in wired earbuds and headphones to your smartphone (yes, even though smartphones have largely stopped coming with headphone jacks) and thus enhance your experience even further.

It’s not the only announcement by Razer, though. If you’re interested in the Razer Edge 5G, that device is making its way to more markets, including select markets in Europe and Asia. Furthermore, Razer has also launched an Xbox version of the regular Kishi V2 for the iPhone, making it the perfect controller to play Xbox games on the cloud. Finally, but not least important, version 3.0 of the Razer Nexus app has also launched, and it’s set to make your experience a bit more console-like once you plug in your Kishi V2 or V2 Pro.

The Kishi V2 Pro is available for $129.99 on Razer’s website, or $149.99 if you’re looking for the Xbox edition. The regular edition is still $99.99, so if you don’t care about haptic feedback or a headphone jack, it’ll otherwise be identical, and you can save those $30. If you think those two things are worth the premium, by all means go ahead and buy it.
