Oppo Find N3 Flip and OnePlus Open get new rumored release times

Oppo’s Find N2 Flip was announced in China in December 2022, so it’s only around eight months old at this point. And yet, we’ve seen a lot of leaks and rumors regarding its successor already. As it turns out, that may not have been a coincidence – according to a new rumor from a usually reliable source, the Find N3 Flip will become official in China at the end of this month.

The same source also claims OnePlus’ first foldable, the Open, will launch globally in late September or early October. This device was recently said to have been delayed due to a screen swap, going from one manufacturer to another.

That said, today’s source claims that while that was part of the reason for the alleged delay, it wasn’t the whole story. Additionally, the Nokia – Oppo royalty case in Germany and France is to blame as well.

No further details are given but we’re hopeful this means Oppo thinks it will resolve its longstanding patent issues with Nokia in Europe so it will once again be able to offer all of its devices (including from sub-brand OnePlus) in all European markets.

There’s also no telling when the Find N3 Flip will launch outside of China. Its predecessor waited around two months after the domestic market unveiling to be presented to global audiences, so we might be looking at something similar this time around.

The Find N3 Flip was just spotted on Geekbench earlier today. It’s expected to add a dedicated telephoto camera to the Find N2 Flip’s main and ultrawide duo, and have a very similar design overall, including what may be an identically sized outer screen.
