Apple could reportedly unveil the iPhone 15 lineup on September 13. The phones could see a staggered launch after that to avoid supply chain and logistics issues.

The company typically holds the launch event for new iPhones in the first or second week of September. So, this rumored date for the iPhone 15 announcement sounds plausible.

New iPhones might debut in just over a month

Multiple 9to5Mac sources at various mobile carriers have been told not to take the day off on September 13. This is because a major phone announcement is due on that day.

Only a new iPhone’s announcement is capable of garnering unparalleled attention. Plus, this is the usual timeframe for a new iPhone to debut.

If Apple holds an iPhone 15 launch event on September 13, pre-orders for some models could begin two days later, on September 15. The phones should then hit retail stores across major markets a week later, on September 22. Production challenges and supply issues could lead Apple to stagger the launch of some models.

iPhone 15 Pro could pack big changes

Rumors indicate Apple is running into production issues with the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s new display panels with ultra-slim bezels. Due to this issue, the company might consider postponing the phone’s release by a few weeks. It should be the iPhone to buy this year, especially since it could exclusively feature a periscope lens for better telephoto performance.

Other changes coming to this year’s iPhones include a USB-C port in place of Lightning, a 3nm A17 chip and bigger batteries. But these improvements could come at a higher price tag.

Alongside the new iPhones, the Cupertino giant should unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at the event. The company could also announce new AirPods charging case with USB-C.
