One version of the invitation to Apple’s September 9 “Awe dropping” product launch event includes an Easter egg. Run your finger around on the Apple logo displayed on a touchscreen, and it’ll react.

It’s the latest in a series of Easter eggs hidden in Apple invitations.

Poke the Apple event logo for a glowing Easter egg

On Tuesday, Apple invited the world to its next product launch event. The event has a logo, of course: the colorful Apple logo cycling through red, yellow and blue, all on a black background.

Turns out there’s just a little bit more to it than that. There’s a hidden Easter egg. Finding it requires using a Mac, iPhone or iPad to go to a specific version of the event logo… the one on Apple’s homepage at Apple.com. Don’t look on Apple’s event page. The Easter egg is only in the event logo on Apple’s homepage.

Now run your cursor or finger across the image. It’ll light up. Or use an Apple Pencil on iPad.

Apple loves a good Easter egg

This is far from the first Easter egg hidden in an Apple invitation. They’re common enough that some people have come to expect them.

There was an augmented reality Easter egg in the 2022 “Far Out” event, for example. And one earlier that year for the “peek performance” event, too. The fall 2021 event had its own AR Easter egg.
