While the AirPods Pro 3 are already available, the AirPods Pro 2 (review) remain highly capable high-end ANC wireless earbuds. The current discount lowers the entry barrier for users upgrading from non-Pro AirPods. Not everyone needs the latest generation’s upgrades, so sticking with the second-generation model is a practical choice.
The AirPods Pro 2 are a major step up from the original AirPods. They were refreshed in 2023 with a USB-C port, replacing Lightning for more flexible charging.
