With the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple has switched to a titanium casing for a lighter overall weight. Another new feature on the exterior of the both models is a Action button that replaces the previous mute switch.
You can choose from a wide variety of option for the button including starting a Focus mode, starting Voice Memos, and more.
Apple has also shifted from a Lightning connector to USB-C connector on the new handsets.
Both phones use the A17 Pro chip, the first 3-nanometer chip in a smartphone. The CPU is up to 10 percent faster with the Neural Engine is up to twice as fast. The GPU uses a new 6-core design and is up to 20 percent faster.
And it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but there are also a number of camera improvements. The headlining feature is a new 5x telephoto camera lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The main camera allows you to switch between three focal lengths—24mm, 28mm, and 35mm. You can also select a default option.
There’s now no need to switch to Portrait mode. Both models can detect when a person, dog, or cat is in the frame. When you tap to focus, it automatically captures depth info
