Apple TV+ and Deadline are presenting Visual Effects + Screen on Sunday, a live event series in Los Angeles that will explore the VFX process for some of Apple TV+’s shows.
Taking place at the Linwood Dunn Theatre at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Los Angeles, California, Sunday’s Visual Effects + Screen event will have figures involved with the visual effects behind Apple TV+ shows on stage to discuss their work.
Presented in association with Deadline, the panels will share techniques and stories that went into the effects for the streaming shows.
VFX Compositing Supervisor for the third season of “Ted Lasso” Bill Parker will be in attendance, after receiving his third career Emmy nomination for the episode “Mom City” in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode category.
Eric Durst, nominated for “Day Two” of the show “Five Days at Memorial” in the Primetime Emmy category of Outstanding Special Effects in a Single Episode will also be in attendance. Also on the list is Daniel Rauchwerger, the VFX Supervisor working on Apple TV+ sci-fi drama “Silo.”
Chris MacLean, VFX Supervisor for the show “Foundation” rounds out the list. MacLean received an Emmy nomination for the first season, and won a VES Award for the episode “The Emperor’s Peace.”
Visual Effects + Screen takes place at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study on August 6. Doors open at 1 P.M. Pacific, 10 A.M. Eastern, with the event starting at 2 P.M. Pacific, 11 A.M. Eastern.
