Week 18 saw the official debut of a number of exciting phones and it’s no wonder our trending chart looks very different from last week.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 was knocked off the lead for only the second time since it went official in mid-March. In fact it was overtaken by no fewer than four of the new phones and is now sitting in fifth position.
It was the Poco F5 that ended up on top this week, narrowly edging the Sony Xperia 1 V. The Sony flagship put up a great fight, but the fact that the Xiaomi phone had a two-day advantage proved decisive.
Poco F5 Pro got the bronze medal, while Google’s new mid-ranger – the Pixel 7a – just missed on a podium position and ended up fourth.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is right behind the Galaxy A54 in sixth place, followed by the Redmi Note 12 duo – Pro in seventh and vanilla in eight.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the only Apple phone in the top 10, taking the ninth position, while Sony’s new mid-ranger Xperia 10 V made the final spot.
This means we are losing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the Samsung pair of A34 and S23 as well as Tecno’s and Realme’s representatives from last week. Obviously, once the hype around the new announcements dies down at least some of those will return, but which ones? And does the Galaxy A54 have enough in the tank to stage another comeback to the top? We’ll find out next week.
