Aim-TTi says it has also enhanced power sharing between outputs. The 420W of output power can be shared between all outputs with a maximum of 210W per output.
The MX100Q S2 offers two outputs with a max of 35V and two outputs with a max of 70V, each supporting up to 6A. The MX103Q S2 offers four outputs at 35V max. It conforms to SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) with the same 420W total power of the MX100Q but all channels are hardware limited to 35V with channels one to three capable of 210W 6A max and channel four capable of 105W 3A max.
The series uses mixed-mode regulation, i.e., switched-mode pre-regulation with a linear post regulation output stage, combining switched mode power efficiency with line and load regulation, low noise and transient response of linear post regulation. Fan assisted cooling reduces audible noise in the workspace.
A programmable variant (denoted by the suffix P), adds USB, LAN/LXI and RS232 interfaces with the GPIB-1A module available as a user or factory fit option. A lower cost, non-P version is available for bench operation.
The RM460A rack mount kit accessory compatible with all MX models is available. Test Bridge logging and control software is available for free download. The software enables up to four of the company’s products to be controlled and logged on a single installation.
