Mobvoi announced the TicWatch 5 Pro, which is the first wearable from this year’s flagship lineup. The new device succeeds the TicWatch 3 Pro and offers improvements in many aspects. However, Mobvoi’s main focus remains health tracking to compete with the very best in the industry. That’s why the company launched its new and improved health app alongside the device.
The TicWatch Pro 5 is the first to employ Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip promising improved performance and efficiency. The display is 1.43″ in size, using OLED panel protected by Gorilla Glass and an additional ultra-low-power display with a modest backlight to save on some power and still provide a reading. The whole system relies on 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

As is the case with the rest of the TicWatches, the 5 Pro is powered by Google’s Wear OS – in this case version 3. Notably, Google recently announced Wear OS 4, but we don’t know which devices will get an update.
The usual set of sensors is on board, allowing you to track more than 100 different types of workouts and use a new one-tap measurement feature that provides information about heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, stress levels and even VO2 Max. Mobvoi says the latter’s tracking has also been improved. NFC for contactless payments is available too.
A rather big 628 mAh battery keeps the lights on, which according to Mobvoi, is enough to last you about 80 hours with the so-called Smart Essential Mode, which will automatically switch to the secondary low-power display when you don’t need the OLED one. Fast charging is also on the menu delivering 65% charge in 30 minutes.

The chassis is made of 7000-series aluminum and high-strength nylon with fiberglass, while the default strap is silicone of the 24mm kind. The TicWatch 5 Pro complies with the US-MIL-STD 810H military standard and can withstand harsh conditions with rain, sand, ice, shocks and vibrations. The crown on the right rotates and can be used for navigation through the menus.
The device will set you back $349 or €359, depending on where you live and it’s available only in Obsidian color. It’s available for purchase immediately.
