MLB App Updated With Live Activities Support for iPhone and More

The headlining addition is Live Activities support for the iPhone. With that, you can see a live game on your lock screen or in the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

You can track any team you’ve favorited in the app and will have to enabled the Live Activity for each game manually. In the Scores tab, find your favorite team and select Track Game to turn on the Live Activity.

During Spring Training, only some games will offer support. But in the regular season, it will be available for each game.

Another change is the new onboarding experience to help personalize the app.

Adding to the ability to track teams, You can also follow specific players to see daily video, stats, and other content.

With the new Home feed, you can see custom content including your favorite teams’s snapshot, followed players, real-time news and content, and more. The custom Watch tab will also you 24/7 programming.

Finally, a new Browse menu will give users a deeper exploration into their favorite baseball topics.

The MLB app is designed for the iPhone, all iPad models and the Apple TV. There is also a companion Apple Watch app. it’s a free download on the App Store now.

There are a number of in-app purchases available including subscriptions to At Bat and MLB.TV. MLB At Bat is $29.99 annually or $3.99 monthly and provides live radio streams for all 30 clubs along with an expanded video offering.

MLB.TV is $149.99 annually or $24.99 monthly. You can view every out-of-market game live or on-demand for every team along with all of the At Bat features.
