Miniature 60V photo-relays handle amps and have 3.7kV isolation

Panasonic photomos relays

Both have back-to-back output mosfets, so they can switch ac or dc power, and both come in 4.3 x 6.8 (including leads) x 2.2mm high (SOP4) gull-wing packaging.

AQY212G3HS can switch 60V and 1.8A though its 80mΩ (typical total with 5mA in, 150mΩ max) mosfet pair. Operation is over -40 to +105°C.

To operate, the LED input current needs to be ≥3mA (1mA typ), and ≤0.2mA (0.9mA typ) to turn it off.

Typical on and off times are 2.2ms and 0.1ms (5mA diode, 100mA and 10V load).

AQY232G3HS is a 60V, 2A, 70mΩ (120mΩ max) device that has a wider operatign temperature range: -40 to +125°C.

Panasonic photo mosfet SOP4 relays

To turn its mosfets on, LED current needs to be ≥1mA (0.13mA typ), and ≤0.01mA (0.1mA typ) to turn it off. Typical on and off times are 0.8ms and 0.06ms.

Both have isolation rated at 3,750Vrms, but neither are UL recognised nor VDE certified at the time of writing – although close cousins with 1,500Vrms isolation and very similar (not identical) packaging are – see the data sheets.

“The recently introduced SOP4 60V miniature package photo mosfet relays ensure quiet, fast and bounce-free switching,” claimed the company. “They are ideally suited for a range of modern industrial equipment, testing, and measuring equipment, as well as security and battery operating equipment.”
