Amazon is providing sellers with a mountain of AI-powered tools. The latest: a simple copy-paste of their own website URL can be used to generate a product page on Amazon.
Announced in a blog post by Mary Beth Westmoreland, Amazon’s VP of worldwide selling partner experience, this feature will simplify the process of creating a product page on the tech giant’s website. Using generative AI, Amazon will automatically create a “high-quality” product page based on a seller’s own brand site link. Amazon says this will make it easier for sellers to “transform their existing product pages on other websites into rich product listings tailored to Amazon’s store, with far less effort.”

By providing a URL, brands hand over the work to Amazon: those links are “automatically parsed” by Amazon’s generative AI-based features.

The feature is rolling out to sellers in the U.S. in the coming weeks.
Amazon has been heavily investing in artificial intelligence tools for both users and businesses, like a new e-commerce bot and AI-generated summaries for products. AI-centric products are being marketed as useful, intended to streamline work and decision-making. Of the latest tool, Amazon presents it as a win-win: “This will further enhance and streamline the process of creating product listings, saving our selling partners more time and effort while developing listings for Amazon’s store that appeal to customers and help drive sales.”
