Cross-Platform Markdown Notes App Bear Adds New Features in Version 2 Update

Bear definitely fits that bill. The cross-platform app is available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac and offers Markdown compatibility and great organization features.

And the app has just received a major upgrade with the move to version 2.0.

The app’s editor is now sporting a number of improvements. When formatting Markup, it will no hides for a cleaner look and easier reading. You can also add in tables, nested styles, and fold away section of text you no longer need to see.

On the iPhone and iPad, there is a new sketching tools and canvas, a new editing keyboard, and new photo picker where you can choose multiple photos at one time to add into a note.

Along with a new Random Note homescreen widget, the update has also added new lock screen widgets. You can choose from seven options like last edited note or create a new note.

For more customization, you can now use custom fonts. The Apple Watch version also sports a visual refresh and support for tables.

Bear 2.0 is a free download on the App Store and Mac App Store. With the free version, you can make use of document scanning a local access to your notes.
