In the 8-bit retro wave game, the premise is simple—get to the top. But as you might expect, getting there to reach your robo-lover will be much more difficult than it seems.
As you progress, you will face increasingly more difficult challenges that will test your gaming skills. Make one wrong move, and you’re back to the bottom. And there are more than a few ways to fail.
Once you launch yourself in any direction, there is no turning back. They can only be performed once and you’ll have to stay still are that lunch.
Wall jumps can help you progress to better platforms, but can also make you lose control and start at the beginning.
When you need to gain more height, you can also use a slam jump onto any surface. But you can only do it once.
There are eight levels to explore with each one adding a unique twist. Once finished with that, there are also three additional game modes.
A MegaByte Mode adds a timer and danger zone that will move to the location of the last landing spot. If you stay in the spot, the timer will eventually expire. If you’re still there, you’ll move to the start of level 1.
GigaByte Mode adds onto the previous mode and makes it more challenging as you’ll love all progress if the timer hits 0.
For maximum pressure, try out TeraByte mode. You’ll have less time to move out of the danger zone. It can also turn randomly from red to purple. That will invert your launch controls.
Designed for the iPhone and iPad, Don’t Byte Your Tongue is a free download on the App Store now.
With an in-app purchase of $2.99, you can unlock the entire game.
